What can I expect at the Sunday gathering?

At Little White Church we understand that God not only desires our worship but He deserves it. We as a church seek to enter into true worship during our Sunday Morning gatherings. True worship according to the Bible is to be done in spirit and in truth. Worship in Spirit: This tells us that worship of God has more to do with the condition and response of the heart then with the external forms or environment. Today’s culture puts too much emphasis on forms of worship and the environment of worship, and speaks very little to the heart of the one who worships. Our hearts must be right before God or we cannot come before Him in worship. Focusing on forms of worship, or anything other than God is not true worship but a false worship of self. Worship in Truth: This tells us that the worship of God must be done according to the truth that is revealed to us in the Bible. The Bible shows worship as a dialogue between God and His people. God speaks and we respond accordingly. True worship always starts with God and His revelation and then moves us to respond. This is true worship. At Little White Church we seek to lift us Jesus Christ in our preaching. You will find that we preach the Word of God without passing over the hard stuff. We go verse by verse through chapters and books of the Bible. We beleive that when the Word of God is preached, the power of God is released and lives are changed. At LWC we encourage fellowship. Do not feel you have to run out the door right after the closing prayer. Many will hang around for an hour to talk and pray together. Trust me, you will feel like you are a long time member.

How can I get connected?

The first step is to just start coming to our Sunday gatherings at 10:30am. From there, we encourage people to plug into one of our Sunday night small group bible studies. This is where you will begin to build lasting relationships and accountability with others. Small groups meet Sunday nights at 6:00pm. Finally, we encourage our people to practice hospitality. Just invite some people over for fellowship and talk about what God is doing in your life.

What is the order of your service and how long does it last?

We will have about four or five songs with scripture readings between each song. We feel that the God must speak to us through His Word so that we can worship in song. This takes about 35min and then the Pastor will preach. The sermon will take about 40min and then a time of response is given. In all, the Sunday gathering will last about 90min.

What kind of church are you?

We are a Christ centered, Bible teaching, Multigenerational, Baptist church. Notice the order, this emphisized who we are. Even though we are historically a Baptist church, we do not put that above Christ, the Bible, or the fact that the church is a multigenerational gathering of believers. Above all we desire to lift up Christ, be biblical in all things, and pass the faith on to the next generation.
